Star Navigator Sets 13 Taiwan-Homeported Sailings for 2027
StarCruises opens sales October 1, 2026 for 13 Star Navigator roundtrips from Keelung and Kaohsiung, spanning two to seven nights across Japan and South Korea through September 2027.

Itinerary
- 13 roundtrip itineraries from Keelung and Kaohsiung, December 11, 2026 to September 1, 2027; bookings open October 1, 2026
- Star Navigator is the only cruise ship sailing from Kaohsiung January 24–February 4, 2027, per StarCruises
- Kaohsiung departures sell only through participating national travel partners; Keelung departures also book direct via StarCruises
StarCruises will deploy the Star Navigator on 13 roundtrip itineraries from Keelung and Kaohsiung between December 11, 2026 and September 1, 2027, with bookings opening October 1, 2026. The program gives Taiwan-based agents a full-year cruise inventory ladder running from two-night high-seas runs to a seven-night Japan voyage.
Keelung remains the ship's primary homeport. Kaohsiung picks up winter school-holiday departures between January 24 and February 4, 2027, offering two- and three-night cruises to Hong Kong and Okinawa. StarCruises says the Star Navigator will be the only cruise ship sailing from Kaohsiung during that window — a claim worth noting for southern agents positioning against zero direct homeport competition.
"Both Keelung and Kaohsiung have long been important homeports for StarCruises. Through our year-round sailings, we remain committed to growing the cruise market and making cruise holidays more accessible to travelers," said Michael Goh, president of StarDream Cruises.
"In 2027, Star Navigator will continue to sail primarily from Keelung, with additional sailings from Kaohsiung during the winter school holidays to better serve guests from central and southern regions. With itineraries ranging from short getaways to multi-destination voyages and an extended Japan cruise during the summer holidays, we are offering greater choice for different types of holidays."
Distribution split matters for sellers. Keelung departures are bookable direct through StarCruises and via participating travel partners across the region. Kaohsiung departures are available only through participating national travel partners — a channel restriction that effectively channels southern-Taiwan inventory through the agency trade.
Short Okinawa Product
The short-break lineup targets the entry-level and repeat-guest segments:
- Two-night Ishigaki Cruise
- Two-night Naha Cruise
- Two-night High Seas Cruise
- Three-night Naha Cruise
- Three-night Naha–Ishigaki Cruise
- Three-night Miyakojima–Naha Cruise
- Four-night Miyakojima–Naha–Ishigaki Cruise
A three-night Naha New Year Cruise departs Keelung on December 31, 2026, positioning the ship as a December 31 revenue night — typically among the highest-yielding dates in the calendar.
Five-Night Japan–South Korea Combinations
Five-night itineraries bundle Japanese and Korean ports with a Naha call:
- Busan–Sasebo–Naha (December 20, 2026; February 21 and March 21, 2027)
- Busan–Nagasaki–Naha (May 23 and June 6, 2027)
- Jeju–Kagoshima–Naha (April 25; May 9; July 25 and August 15, 2027)
- Fukuoka–Nagasaki–Naha (May 2 and June 27, 2027)
- Jeju–Sasebo–Naha (March 14, 2027)
The March 21, 2027 departure aligns with Japan's cherry blossom period — a demand spike agents can price against, since cherry-blossom sailings historically clear earliest.
Seven-Night Summer Deployment
For the summer holidays, the Star Navigator runs a roundtrip seven-night cruise from Keelung departing August 1, 2027, calling at Kochi, Tokyo (via Yokohama), Shimizu and Osaka. It is the longest product in the program and the ship's premium summer inventory play for families.
The breadth of the 2027 program — two- to seven-night ranges, two homeports, three destination countries — signals StarCruises' intent to hold year-round share in Taiwan's cruise source market rather than compete only on seasonal peaks. Agents get a nearly ten-month selling window before the first sailing, with booking access from October 1, 2026.
