Seabourn will run 166 ocean sailings to more than 180 destinations in summer 2029, including its first calls in Egypt in more than five years, the Carnival Corporation-owned luxury line announced with the release of its 2029 Summer Ocean Voyages program.

Three ships — Seabourn Ovation, Quest and Encore — will operate the season across the Mediterranean, Northern Europe, Alaska, and Canada and New England. For sellers of luxury cruises, the deployment opens fresh combinations: many voyages can be chained into journeys of 14, 21, 28 or more days, which typically lifts per-booking value.

"Our 2029 Ocean Voyages collection offers guests more ways to spend meaningful time in the destinations they visit, whether that means an overnight at the gateway to the pyramids of Egypt, exploring new ports in Northern Europe or experiencing Alaska with our Expedition Team," said Crystal Morgan, senior director of deployment and itinerary planning at Seabourn.

What does the Egypt return include?

The Ovation's Mediterranean season runs March through November 2029 with 21 itineraries covering the Western Mediterranean, Italy, the Adriatic and the Aegean. Select voyages include an overnight in Alexandria, positioned as a gateway to Cairo and the Great Pyramids of Giza.

New specialty sailings include "Italian Coast & Fireworks Over Corsica" and "Pyramids & Evening at Ephesus." The program also features a maiden call at Kapsali on the Greek island of Kythira, plus Seabourn's complimentary "Evening at Ephesus," a private after-hours classical music event in the ancient city — an inclusion the line uses to differentiate against competitors charging for marquee shore events.

The Mediterranean program is built on overnight and boutique-port calls rather than new-build hardware. The takeaway: Seabourn is selling depth of stay, not just routing.

How far north does Northern Europe go?

Between May and September 2029, the Quest sails Scandinavia, the Baltic, the British Isles, Northern Norway, Iceland and Greenland. The headline addition is a new seven-day voyage into Sweden and Finland's Gulf of Bothnia, Seabourn's furthest push north in the Baltic, with maiden calls at Härnösand, Kemi, Rauma and Oulu.

Further maiden calls are scheduled at Alta and Frøya, with extended or overnight stays in Bordeaux, Rouen, Helsinki, Tallinn, Edinburgh and Hamburg. One timing hook for 2029 planning: calls at Turku, Finland, during its 900th anniversary year.

Where do Encore and Quest deploy?

The Encore returns to Alaska from May to September 2029 with seven-day voyages between Juneau and Vancouver, plus 10- and 11-day itineraries reaching Valdez, Whittier and College Fjord. Every Alaska sailing includes glacier viewing; optional Ventures by Seabourn excursions and scenic cruising along British Columbia's Great Bear Rainforest round out the program.

The Quest then shifts to Canada and New England for 12- and 13-day voyages in September and October, with overnights in Boston, Quebec City and St. John's and calls at Gaspé, Îles-de-la-Madeleine and Prince Edward Island.

"It also reflects what Seabourn does particularly well: combining access to smaller ports and less-traveled places with the personalized service and onboard experience our guests expect," Morgan said.

With sales for the 2029 program now open, agents have a long booking window on new-build itineraries — the Gulf of Bothnia route and Egypt overnights — that carry no direct comparables in the line's recent calendars.
