A 10-episode Scenic Group campaign will air on CNBC beginning Nov. 8, using national U.S. television and next-day YouTube distribution to promote river and yacht journeys across the Scenic and Emerald brands.
Scheduled for 11 a.m. Eastern/8 a.m. Pacific, the series will air Sunday, Nov. 8, and Nov. 15. Scenic says the campaign will run weekly through Jan. 24, 2027.
For travel sellers, the campaign gives consumers one schedule through which to encounter two brands and several itinerary types. The announcement supplies no audience forecast, media spending, booking target, expected conversion rate, commission change, filing-based performance data or market-size estimate, so it establishes promotional reach, not projected revenue or market-share gain.
What will viewers see?
Robert Castro, vice president of marketing, USA and LATAM, said: “With this long-format campaign, viewers will have an opportunity to experience what it is like to sail with us, see what sets our company apart and become better informed as to their choices with Scenic Group’s expansive portfolio of products.”
The first two episodes will focus on Emerald Yacht Cruises in Greece, with broadcasts on Nov. 8 and Nov. 15. The remaining schedule, as the company outlined it, includes:
- Emerald river cruising along the Rhine.
- Scenic river journeys on the Danube and through Bordeaux.
- Scenic’s ultra-luxury Discovery Yacht experience in Antarctica, aboard Scenic Eclipse.
- European Christmas markets.
- Emerald river cruises in South of France and Caribbean yacht voyages.
- Scenic’s Mediterranean Discovery Yacht experience on Jan. 24.
Castro said: “Over the course of 10 episodes, viewers will see two distinct brands and an incredible range of experiences, from sailing the Greek Islands aboard an intimate Emerald yacht and exploring Europe’s iconic rivers to discovering Antarctica aboard Scenic Eclipse.”
He also said the campaign aims to inspire travelers to recognize better options than they thought they had and to see a Scenic Group journey for discovery, culture, culinary experiences or a more intimate way to see the world. That is the company’s positioning pitch; the announcement offers no audience or booking results against which to measure it.
How will Scenic distribute the episodes?
CNBC will carry the series nationally in the United States. Viewers who miss a premiere can watch it on demand on the Scenic and Emerald YouTube channels the day after it airs.
That arrangement creates a weekly sequence: a scheduled CNBC broadcast followed by an owned-video window. For travel sellers, the YouTube release can keep an itinerary in circulation after its television slot and give prospective travelers another opportunity to review the experience. The company has not announced an advisor booking link, package, promotional code or commercial incentive tied to either platform.
For sellers, the campaign adds a second viewing window but no disclosed commercial terms.
What does the campaign mean for travel sellers?
The schedule puts Scenic’s river and yacht products beside Emerald’s river and yacht products, giving agencies and other sellers more opportunities to explain a broader portfolio. It also gives Scenic a way to associate the CNBC series with destinations and experiences spanning the Greek Islands, European rivers, Antarctica, the Caribbean and the Mediterranean.
The announcement describes no new distribution agreement or commission structure. Without a media budget, projected impressions, tracked traffic, booking conversions or occupancy lift, sellers cannot translate the programming into a revenue forecast. Scenic’s claim that long-form content can improve consumer choice remains a marketing proposition until audience and sales data show otherwise.
The first test arrives Nov. 8, followed by weekly broadcasts through Jan. 24, 2027, after which the campaign’s value to sellers will depend on evidence beyond exposure.
