Princess Extends Sanctuary Collection to Five Royal Class Ships
Princess Cruises is extending its Sanctuary Collection premium product to five Royal Class ships, with Royal Princess sales open now and four more on-sale dates through December 17, 2026.

Itinerary
- Sanctuary Collection expands to five Royal Class ships, starting with Royal Princess sales for a January 4, 2027 South Pacific voyage.
- Four more on-sale dates run November 5 through December 17, 2026 for Regal, Discovery, Sky and Enchanted Princess.
- All collection bookings include Princess Premier, the brand's most inclusive package, plus Sanctuary Club, private pool and Sanctuary Restaurant access.
- Royal Princess guests booked before October 22, 2026 in Reserve Collection staterooms get the Sanctuary experience with added amenities.
Princess Cruises is rolling its Sanctuary Collection — the premium, ship-within-a-ship product it launched on Sun Princess and Star Princess — across five Royal Class ships, starting with Royal Princess staterooms that went on sale this week for a 12-day South Pacific voyage departing January 4, 2027.
For travel sellers, that's five more hulls carrying a tiered inventory that bundles suites, select staterooms and newly added oceanview categories with private spaces, dedicated dining and the Princess Premier package — the brand's most inclusive bundle. In plain terms: more upsellable premium inventory, but also more complexity in explaining what each cabin category now includes.
What's actually in the collection?
The package pairs accommodations with access perks. Guests get entry to a private Sanctuary Club with lounge areas, social spaces and personalized service, plus a dedicated pool with upgraded loungers. Shaded cabanas carry an additional charge, and food and beverage service is delivered poolside.
Dining comes via exclusive access to the Sanctuary Restaurant, an intimate venue with menus inspired by the destinations on each itinerary. A suite concierge coordinates dining, entertainment and other onboard arrangements, and suite guests also get an exclusive Suite Lounge.
Every guest who books the collection after it opens for sale on each individual ship receives Princess Premier automatically. That's a distribution-relevant detail for agents: the bundle is attached to the cabin purchase, not sold separately at this stage.
Why is this more than a product refresh?
Princess frames the rollout as the first phase of a multi-year fleet modernization initiative. The company disclosed the expansion in a press release but did not attach a budget figure, berth count or revenue target to it — so treat "multi-year" as a direction, not a measured plan.
What is concrete is the sales calendar. Sanctuary Collection stateroons on the remaining four ships open over the next two months:
- Regal Princess — on sale November 5, 2026; first sailing a Transatlantic voyage from Port Everglades departing April 17, 2027
- Discovery Princess — on sale December 4, 2026; first sailing a Mexico roundtrip from Los Angeles departing April 24, 2027
- Sky Princess — on sale December 10, 2026; first sailing a Baltic voyage from Southampton departing May 29, 2027
- Enchanted Princess — on sale December 17, 2026; first sailing a Mediterranean voyage from Civitavecchia departing June 12, 2027
That's four separate on-sale dates inside roughly six weeks — a staggered calendar that will require sellers to track which ships carry the product and when.
What happens to existing bookings?
There's a grandfathering mechanism worth flagging to clients. Royal Princess guests who booked before October 22, 2026 and hold a Reserve Collection stateroom will receive the Sanctuary Collection experience with the additional amenities — an upgrade at no stated additional cost.
Princess didn't say whether the same conversion applies to Reserve Collection holders on the other four ships, only that the offer covers Royal Princess. Agents with clients on Regal, Discovery, Sky or Enchanted should confirm before quoting.
The commercial logic
Ship-within-a-ship concepts are a proven margin play in cruising: they concentrate high-yield demand, lift onboard spend through bundled dining and amenity access, and give lines a price ladder above standard suites. Cabana fees and curated dining add-ons extend the revenue per guest beyond the fare itself.
The caveat: Princess hasn't disclosed pricing, cabin counts per ship, or what share of Royal Class inventory the collection will occupy. Without those numbers, the revenue impact of the expansion stays a projection, not a result.
Expect Princess to fill in pricing and inventory details as each on-sale date arrives, with the Regal Princess opening November 5 serving as the next concrete test of demand.
