Disney Believe Details Emerge as Bookings Open for 2027 Debut

The 2,500-passenger Disney Believe debuts December 2027 from Fort Lauderdale, with bookings opening this month. New details cover an Encanto stage premiere and a two-story tower suite.

Itinerary

  1. Disney Believe, a 2,500-passenger Wish-class ship, starts short Caribbean and Bahamas cruises from Fort Lauderdale in December 2027.
  2. Bookings for the inaugural season open later this month.
  3. 70 percent of staterooms offer private verandahs and the ship has more than 450 connecting doors for families.
  4. The ship premieres the world's first stage adaptation of Encanto at the Walt Disney Theatre.
  5. The nearly 2,000-square-foot Believe Tower Suite sleeps eight and sits in the ship's forward funnel.

Disney Cruise Line's third Wish-class ship, the 2,500-passenger Disney Believe, will enter service in December 2027 with four- and five-night cruises from Fort Lauderdale — and bookings for its inaugural season open later this month, giving sellers of travel a short window to prep clients on new hardware.

Disney has now detailed the venues and public areas of the vessel, currently under construction at the Meyer Werft shipyard in Germany. The headline inventory for the trade: a nearly 2,000-square-foot, two-story Believe Tower Suite sleeping eight, 70 percent of staterooms with private verandahs, and more than 450 connecting doors aimed squarely at the multi-generational family bookings that drive Disney's premium pricing.

What entertainment is new on the Believe?

The ship stages the world's first theatrical adaptation of Walt Disney Animation Studios' Encanto, built for the Walt Disney Theatre with what Disney describes as vibrant Colombian influences. That premiere production anchors a lineup Disney is betting will differentiate the vessel in the crowded short-cruise Caribbean market.

  • Tangled: The Musical, currently staged on the Magic, returns with a reimagined set and exclusive special effects.
  • Disney Seas the Adventure, an original Wish-class show featuring Disney and Pixar characters and songs.
  • Gazelle, a family entertainment hub themed to the metropolis of Zootopia, hosting trivia, games and character encounters by day and converting to an adults-only venue at night with silent discos and variety acts.
  • Judy Hopps and Nick Wilde star in a new interactive family show — a first for the fleet — asking guests to help solve their latest case.

Returning acts include Pirate's Rockin' Parlay Party, Hero Zone and Disney Uncharted Adventure. The boutique Wonderland and Never Land Cinemas will screen classic and first-run films from Disney, Pixar, Marvel and Lucasfilm at no charge.

How is Disney differentiating dining?

The Believe adds a Frozen-inspired family venue, Oaken's Table: A Frozen Family Feast, featuring characters Oaken, Anna and Kristoff. It joins rotational-dining staples 1923 and Worlds of Marvel carried over from the Wish class.

Two new cafes, Big Hero Sips and Café Kakamora, will serve coffee, tea and specialty beverages — revenue points that extend onboard spend beyond main dining. Existing venues get refreshes: Inside Out: Joyful Sweets adds characters from Inside Out 2 and a reimagined menu, while the open-air Mickey and Friends Festival of Foods gains a Mediterranean stall, Pluto's Pita Platters, serving kebabs and pitas.

What does the adults-only offering look like?

Disney continues its strategy of dual-daypart venues with three new adults-only spaces: Sea Notes, a piano bar inspired by Ariel's Grotto from The Little Mermaid; Wishing Well, modeled on the dwarfs' cottage from Snow White, with live music, cocktails and coffees; and Skygazers, an observatory-themed pub pouring custom craft brews and screening live sports.

Returning premium venues include Haunted Mansion Parlor, Palo Steakhouse, Enchanté by Chef Arnaud Lallement and The Rose, plus Quiet Cove, Senses Spa and Senses Fitness.

What should agents know about cabins and itineraries?

Stateroom artwork draws on Moana, Coco and The Lion King. Most cabins use Disney's split-bath concept, and concierge-level rooms grant access to exclusive areas and services. The Believe Tower Suite, set in the forward funnel and exclusive to this ship, carries Magic Kingdom theming — rooms modeled on different lands, fireworks- and balloon-inspired light fixtures, and an art piece depicting Cinderella Castle.

The Grand Hall, the ship's main gathering space, features a bronze cast statue of Moana with Pacific Islands design influences.

Itineraries pair Bahamas and Caribbean calls with Disney's private islands, Castaway Cay and Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point, plus Nassau — the island stops that remain the line's strongest short-cruise selling point against competing operators in Fort Lauderdale. With bookings opening later this month, agents can expect Disney's typical wave-season demand for maiden-voyage inventory and suite categories.
