Costa Cruises Unveils Six Winter 2026-27 Itinerary Concepts
Costa Cruises has unveiled six itinerary concepts for winter 2026-27 across the Mediterranean, Canary Islands and Caribbean, tying every 2027 sailing to its Sea & Land Wonder Platform.

Itinerary
- Costa Cruises unveiled six itinerary concepts for winter 2026-27: three Mediterranean, two Caribbean, one Canary Islands.
- From 2027 every Costa cruise becomes a concept built around destinations and Sea Destinations onboard programming.
- Costa Toscana, Costa Pacifica, Costa Smeralda and Costa Fascinosa are the ships named across the program.
- A summer 2027 collection will follow in the Western Mediterranean, Eastern Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
- VP worldwide sales Luigi Stefanelli framed the program around the Sea & Land Wonder Platform.
Costa Cruises has unveiled six new itinerary concepts for its winter 2026-27 program, spanning the Mediterranean, the Canary Islands and the Caribbean, with every sailing from 2027 built around its Sea & Land Wonder Platform and Sea Destinations onboard programming.
The announcement extends the brand's refocusing of its Sea & Land itineraries around a concept that links sea and land destinations. Six itineraries headline the program: three in the Mediterranean, two in the Caribbean and one in the Canary Islands.
Luigi Stefanelli, vice president worldwide sales at Costa Cruises, said: "In winter 2026-27, we bring together iconic destinations, moments of wonder at sea and ashore, and different travel styles, fully in line with the Sea & Land Wonder Platform."
Stefanelli added that the result is "holiday experiences with an ever-clearer identity that are ever more relevant to our guests."
For travel sellers, the shift matters because it packages itineraries as branded concepts rather than port lists — a structure Costa can differentiate on and push through distribution as distinct products.
What sails where in the Mediterranean?
Three concepts cover the Mediterranean across winter 2026-27:
- Iconic Mediterranean, aboard the Costa Toscana, calling at Rome, Barcelona, Palma de Mallorca and Palermo.
- Mediterranean Soul, aboard the Costa Pacifica, built around Barcelona's Ramblas, the souk of Tunis via La Goulette, the streets and San Gregorio Armeno in Naples, and the Ballarò market in Palermo.
- Exotic Mediterranean, spanning two continents from Andalusia to North Africa, with calls at Malaga, La Goulette, Tangier and Valencia.
The takeaway: Costa is anchoring each Mediterranean product to a clear theme and named shore experiences, giving agents a sharper sell than a generic ports-of-call line.
What does the Canary Islands program include?
Aboard the Costa Smeralda, the "Canary Islands" itinerary markets volcanic landscapes, black-sand beaches, golden dunes, forests and cliffs, with calls at Lanzarote, Tenerife's Teide volcano and Fuerteventura.
The sailing also features Costa's exclusive Sea Destinations:
- Canary Sea Darkest Spot, positioned at the darkest point of the Atlantic, and
- Atlantis Crest, a marine destination inspired by the myth of Atlantis.
The takeaway: the at-sea experiences extend the product beyond ports, which Costa can use to justify positioning and price against rival Canary deployments.
How does Costa split the Caribbean?
The Costa Fascinosa operates two Caribbean itineraries. "Antilles Collection" presents the Lesser Antilles as an archipelago where every island has its own identity, so guests see a new face of the Caribbean each day. "Caribbean Heart" centers the voyage on the Dominican Republic.
Exclusive Sea Destinations and related experiences include:
- Caribbean Sea Darkest Spot,
- Guadeloupe Bay,
- Catalina Bay, and
- Archipelago Turks & Caicos.
The takeaway: two distinct Caribbean concepts on one ship give sellers segmented options — island-hopping variety or a single-market deep dive — within the same deployment.
What comes after winter 2026-27?
The concepts debut in winter 2027, and Costa said a summer 2027 collection will follow, covering the Western Mediterranean, the Eastern Mediterranean and Northern Europe.
If the concept-led format holds through the 2027 summer rollout, Costa will have converted its core European deployments into a platform of named, theme-driven products across all seasons.
