Hyatt Rebuilds SME Travel Platform on Spotnana Tech
Hyatt's redesigned Leverage platform, built on Spotnana tech, consolidates SME bookings, payments and spend across 1,300-plus hotels — and cuts agencies out of the channel entirely.

Itinerary
- Hyatt announced the redesigned Leverage SME platform on 30 October 2026, powered by Spotnana
- Preferred rates cover more than 1,300 Hyatt hotels across five brand portfolios
- Eligibility requires legal organisation in the country of origin and at least 50 room nights per year
- Leverage bookings cannot be made through travel agencies, consortia or other online booking tools
- Hyatt says thousands of businesses use Leverage, with selected clients already migrated
Hyatt has folded hotel bookings, payments and spending oversight into a single platform for small and midsize businesses, announced 30 October 2026, with preferred rates across more than 1,300 hotels and travel technology provider Spotnana powering the rebuild.
The redesigned Hyatt Leverage gives corporate travel managers one interface to book, view and manage reservations alongside payments and travel spend. Preferred rates span Hyatt's five brand portfolios, from full-service business hotels to extended-stay properties — roughly the scale difference between a downtown conference hotel and a long-stay suite product.
What's in the upgraded package?
- Booking, payment and spend management consolidated in one system
- Preferred rates at 1,300-plus Hyatt hotels across all five brand portfolios
- World of Hyatt benefits for administrators and travellers, including points on eligible activity redeemable for stays, suite upgrades and FIND experiences
Alice Harrington-Cavello — Senior Vice President, Global Sales and Americas Commercial Services at Hyatt — framed the upgrade as a response to buyer expectations. "Today's travelers want greater personalization, collaboration and a seamless experience, and Hyatt Leverage makes booking and managing travel even easier through these new enhancements," she said.
Hyatt claims thousands of businesses worldwide use Leverage and says selected existing clients have already migrated to the updated platform. The company did not disclose how many have moved, what the migration timeline is, or what share of Leverage users qualify for the rebuild. Take those adoption claims as directional until Hyatt puts numbers behind them.
Why Spotnana matters here
The tech layer is the structural story. Hyatt handed the booking experience to Spotnana rather than building in-house, betting on an external platform to centralise corporate hotel travel management. For travel sellers, that choice signals where hotel loyalty programs are sourcing distribution infrastructure — third-party travel-tech stacks, not proprietary systems.
In plain terms: Hyatt is buying its SME booking rails from outside, and intermediaries should note which way that wind blows.
Who actually qualifies?
The programme isn't open to every SME. Eligibility requirements include:
- Legal organisation in the company's country of origin
- A minimum of 50 room nights per year — about one booking a week for a small team
The 50-room-night floor is the real filter. A ten-person firm sending staff on two trips a month clears it easily; a five-person startup may not.
There's a sharper restriction for the trade. Leverage is not available for reservations made through travel agencies, consortia or other online booking tools. That's a direct-distribution play — Hyatt is steering SME volume away from intermediaries and into its own channel, where it keeps the margin and owns the customer data.
For agencies serving SME clients, the message is blunt: this inventory relationship bypasses you.
Businesses can review the programme, enquire about eligibility or reapply directly through Hyatt Leverage.
Hyatt hasn't published adoption targets or revenue projections for the rebuild, so the market-size impact remains an open question. Watch whether rival chains follow with their own SME direct-booking consolidations — if Leverage's Spotnana rebuild pulls measurable share from agency channels, expect copycats.
