Itinerary
- 11-day voyage roundtrip from Fiji, March 14–24, 2027, aboard the 140-guest Heritage Adventurer
- Fares start from $7,160, with a 20% early-booking discount available until October 30, 2026
- Itinerary covers Fiji, Samoa, Tonga and remote Wallis and Futuna, including endemic wildlife such as the Tooth-billed Pigeon
Heritage Expeditions has opened sales on an 11-day South Pacific voyage with an aggressive early-booking incentive: a 20% discount for reservations made by October 30, 2026, on the "Tropical Islands of Fiji, Samoa & Tonga Cruise."
The expedition sails roundtrip from Fiji March 14–24, 2027, aboard the 140-guest Heritage Adventurer, with fares starting from $7,160 before the discount. That pricing structure effectively rewards direct and early commitments and compresses the booking window sellers need to work with for a niche small-ship product in a region where expedition capacity remains limited.
The itinerary targets Fiji, Samoa and Tonga, plus the remote French overseas territory of Wallis and Futuna — a destination few cruise operators touch, which anchors the voyage's positioning around scarcity rather than mainstream port calls.
"This voyage is for adventurers of all levels looking to explore off the beaten track, experience endemic wildlife encounters and time-forgotten cultures, then relax on white-sand beaches and snorkel warm waters teeming with colorful corals and marine life," said Commercial Director and Expedition Leader Aaron Russ.
For trade sellers, the product's appeal rests on hard-to-replicate content. Scheduled highlights include the limestone islands of Fulaga, the jungles of Bouma National Heritage Park and Tafua Rainforest Reserve, snorkeling at Palolo Deep Marine Reserve and the Swallows Cave, and a program across Wallis and Futuna covering ancient Polynesian traditions, WWII history and lagoons.
Wildlife positioning leans heavily on endemism. Guests may encounter the Samoan Flying Fox and the Fijian Monkey-faced Bat in rarely visited jungles, along with endemic birdlife including the Tooth-billed Pigeon — Samoa's national bird and one of the closest living relatives of the Dodo.
The company said little about projected occupancy or distribution channels, so agents will need to treat the 20% incentive as the key commercial lever: it expires October 30, 2026, roughly four and a half months before departure. With only 140 berths at stake, inventory is tight enough that late-cycle group space may not materialize.
Heritage Expeditions is betting that the Wallis and Futuna call and endemic-species programming justify premium expedition pricing in a South Pacific market where larger operators concentrate on Fiji's mainstream ports. Whether the 2027 departure fills at published fares or the discounted level will signal demand depth for remote-island expedition product in the region.
