Fiji has 2027 itineraries from Heritage Expeditions and other international operators, including an 11-day voyage in March and a 45-meter yacht carrying 44 guests.

Tourism Fiji announced the lineup for a destination of 333 islands in the South Pacific. Its 2027 schedule includes international operators and small-ship expeditions. The routes broaden packaged inventory for travel sellers, but the announcement supplies no booking totals, fares, passenger forecasts or estimated port revenue.

What is coming to Fiji in 2027?

Heritage Expeditions will launch an 11-day voyage in March 2027 aboard the Heritage Adventurer. Tourism Fiji said the sailing highlights Savusavu, Fulaga and Taveuni, plus remote Pacific communities, reefs and rainforests.

  • Ponant/Paul Gauguin Cruises, Windstar Cruises and Silversea will link Fiji with wider South Pacific itineraries through Aitutaki, Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti, without inter-island flights, according to Tourism Fiji.
  • National Geographic Expeditions will operate a 16-day South Pacific adventure in April and May 2027, starting in Tahiti and ending in Fiji.
  • Norwegian Cruise Line’s South Pacific Adventures will depart Suva or Lautoka and end in Australia or French Polynesia in May, October and December 2027.

Fiji’s Blue Lagoon Cruises has introduced the 45-meter Yasawa Princess II, which carries 44 guests in 22 cabins. Its shallow draft reaches locations larger ships cannot access, including Blue Lagoon Cruises’ private beach, Tourism Fiji said.

Tourism Fiji positioned the schedule against mass-market cruising. “Forget the traditional mega-ship experience. Travelers can weave through the Mamanucas and Yasawas, explore remote islands rarely visited by international travelers, or use Fiji as the starting point (or grand finale) of a wider South Pacific adventure,” its statement said.

The company also said cruising can carry visitors beyond the best-known tourism hubs and into islands and communities that remain off the traditional tourist trail.

What changes for travel sellers?

For cruise sellers and travel advisors, the calendar expands product choice and reduces some assembly work. The Ponant/Paul Gauguin Cruises, Windstar Cruises and Silversea routes combine Fiji with Aitutaki, Bora Bora, Moorea and Tahiti without inter-island flights, according to Tourism Fiji.

For sellers, that no-inter-island-flight arrangement can simplify distribution of a wider South Pacific journey as one cruise product. National Geographic’s 16-day April and May 2027 sailing and Heritage’s 11-day March voyage add expedition-led inventory, while Norwegian Cruise Line provides three 2027 departure months from two Fiji ports, Tourism Fiji said.

The NCL program gives Fiji-based sellers three departure windows while positioning Australia and French Polynesia as end markets. Travel sellers in those countries can promote the same NCL program, although Tourism Fiji supplied no sales targets.

Fiji’s Blue Lagoon Cruises adds a smaller format: 44 guests, 22 cabins and shallow-draft access to a private beach. Tourism Fiji disclosed no fares, occupancy targets or booking commitments for the Yasawa Princess II.

Tourism Fiji said guests can pair a sailing with a resort stay, creating a potential cross-sale for resorts and tour operators. The announcement provides no conversion rate or projected visitor spend.

Can the commercial impact be sized?

Not yet. Tourism Fiji’s claim that Fiji is becoming an increasingly compelling South Pacific gateway is not supported in the announcement with historical cruise-call volumes, operator bookings, operator filings, market-size estimates or share data. The 2027 schedules establish planned inventory; they do not measure demand. Heritage’s March date, NCL’s three departure months and Yasawa Princess II’s 44-guest capacity describe supply, not bookings.

The release’s only broader performance marker is an arrivals claim: August 2026 marked Fiji’s busiest-ever month for international arrivals, according to Tourism Fiji. It provides no arrival count, growth rate or comparison with prior years, so the scale and source of that record cannot be tested from the announcement.

For sellers, the first commercial test will be bookings, cabin occupancy and on-island spending once operators report on the 2027 sailings. If the announced operators convert those routes into paid capacity, Fiji could gain cruise-driven resort and tour revenue and a larger share of South Pacific itineraries; if not, the lineup will have widened the destination’s sales inventory without measurable demand.
