Crystal will open bookings October 20 for a seven-month, three-ship deployment running October 2028 through May 2029, anchored by the Symphony's World Cruise segment departing Melbourne on January 7, 2029.
The Symphony opens the season October 3, 2028, working a Japan-heavy circuit: Tokyo, Shimizu, Nagoya, Osaka, Kochi, Nagasaki, then the Sea of Japan coast at Sakaiminato, Maizuru, Kanazawa, Niigata, Akita and Aomori. From there she pushes through Taiwan, the Philippines and Southeast Asia, hits Australia and New Zealand in December, and finishes the pre-World-Cruise run in Melbourne. That is the hand-off into the line's flagship world voyage.
What new ports can travel agents actually sell?
Crystal flagged several maiden calls worth pricing for novelty. The Grace visits Îles du Salut — a former French Guiana penal colony turned cruise stop — during her first South American season, and she transits the Panama Canal for the first time on March 22, 2029. The Serenity adds Hilo on the Hawaii leg and Cooktown in Australia, both relatively underdeveloped compared with the usual Honolulu and Cairns calls, to a Pacific routing that otherwise runs through French Polynesia, Indonesia, Thailand, Vietnam, Hong Kong and China.
Where do the Serenity and Grace deploy?
The Grace starts November 20, 2028, out of Fort Lauderdale, turns south in February 2029, and works Brazil, Uruguay and Argentina toward Patagonia. She rounds Cape Horn on February 27, threads the Chilean fjords with calls at Laguna San Rafael, Puerto Chacabuco, Castro, Puerto Montt and Valparaiso, then returns via Bermuda, the Azores, Madeira, the Canaries and Morocco. Final port: Lisbon, May 2, 2029.
The Serenity begins December 4, 2028, from Fort Lauderdale, slides through Central America and Mexico, then crosses the Pacific to Hawaii, French Polynesia and Australia. March and April bring Japan and the Sea of Japan coast — Kumamoto, Kagoshima, Kochi, Nagoya, Shimizu, Osaka, Sakaiminato, Maizuru, Kanazawa, Niigata, Akita, Aomori — plus South Korea calls and a transit of the Kanmon Strait. She finishes in Seward on May 28, 2029, after Alaska stops at Kodiak and Homer.
What's the trade angle?
Three ships, three quarters, one booking window. The Symphony's pre-World-Cruise positioning gives sellers a natural funnel into Crystal's headline product, while the Grace's South American maiden calls and Panama Canal transit offer the kind of first-time experience travel desks can attach a premium to. The Serenity's Hawaii-to-Alaska arc largely mirrors the Symphony's earlier Pacific routing — useful for agents packaging back-to-back clients across both ships.
The open question is fare discipline. Crystal hasn't disclosed pricing for the October 20 release, but a seven-month, three-ship window opening roughly two years out typically points to early-bird incentives aimed at seeding load factors (the percentage of available cabins sold). The margin math for sellers will live in that fare ladder.
