Celebrity Cruises has opened bookings for the inaugural 2028 season of the Celebrity Xcite, the sixth ship in its Edge series, bringing its Caribbean deployment to ten vessels — the brand's largest lineup in the region to date.

The Xcite will sail seven-night Caribbean rotations from Miami, calling at St. Thomas, Antigua, the British Virgin Islands, St. Kitts and Nevis, St. Maarten and the Dominican Republic. It joins Beyond, Eclipse, Ascent, Silhouette, Reflection, Apex, Constellation, Summit and Xcel in the Caribbean. For sellers of travel, the booking windows are fixed: winter 2028-29 Caribbean sailings open November 3, 2026, and Summer 2028 itineraries open December 9, 2026.

"The Caribbean is our guests' favorite place to vacation. Whether it's a long-awaited island getaway or a spontaneous weekend escape, we are creating new and fresh ways for guests to experience the region with Celebrity Cruises," said Laura Hodges Bethge, president of Celebrity Cruises.

The president tied the deployment to scale: with the debut of Celebrity Xcite, and more Edge Series ships in the Caribbean than ever before, the 2028 and 2029 season gives guests more ways to experience the destinations they love, paired with what she called innovative design, elevated service and moments at sea that only Celebrity can deliver.

What's new for short-break sellers?

The Celebrity Beyond will run nine three-night weekend getaways from Fort Lauderdale to The Bahamas between November 2028 and March 2029 — the first time an Edge-series ship has been positioned on short Caribbean breaks. That gives agents an upscale product in a segment previously dominated by mass-market vessels.

New onboard venues debut in November 2026: Orange Peel Bar & Grille, Tacos del Sol, and Bora. The Eclipse will also offer Fort Lauderdale weekend getaways, while the Summit sails four- to five-night itineraries from Miami. Select sailings call at Royal Beach Club Paradise Island in Nassau.

How deep does the long-sailing coverage go?

The Beyond adds eight- to 11-night sailings to St. Kitts and Nevis, Martinique, Barbados, Saint Lucia and Antigua, including six Panama Canal journeys. The Ascent runs nine- to 12-night voyages to Grand Cayman, Aruba, Curaçao, Saint Lucia, Martinique, St. Maarten, Barbados, Antigua and Turks and Caicos. The Eclipse sails 11-night itineraries from Fort Lauderdale.

The Xcel offers six- and eight-night sailings from Fort Lauderdale, split between Southern Caribbean runs to Aruba, Bonaire and Curaçao and Western Caribbean calls in Mexico, Honduras and Grand Cayman.

Which ships sail year-round?

The Silhouette sails eight- to 12-night summer itineraries to Barbados, Martinique, Saint Lucia and Grenada, then shifts to seven-night San Juan departures from October, with five port days on every sailing. The Reflection, refitted in March 2027, continues year-round six- to eight-night Fort Lauderdale itineraries.

The Apex returns to Cape Canaveral with Eastern Caribbean routes to the British Virgin Islands, the Dominican Republic and St. Maarten, plus Western Caribbean calls at Cozumel, Grand Cayman and Key West. From Tampa, the Constellation runs seven-night sailings to Key West, The Bahamas and the Western Caribbean.

With ten ships, four Florida homeports plus San Juan, and a new short-break Edge product, Celebrity is concentrating distribution in the Caribbean at a scale that will define its 2028-29 sales calendar.
