Itinerary

  1. Revelex celebrates its 27th anniversary this month with two product launches
  2. Revy AI works inside the PowerAgent 5 platform across B2B and B2C cruise booking
  3. River cruising is the next market for Revy AI, followed by hotels, air and packages
  4. The 3D Cruise Deck Viewer turns ship deck plans into interactive 3D cabin comparisons
  5. No adoption or conversion figures accompanied the announcement

Revelex turns 27 this month and is marking the anniversary by shipping two products aimed squarely at the cruise booking funnel: an AI assistant called Revy AI and an interactive 3D Cruise Deck Viewer.

The enterprise travel technology company positions both tools as fixes for a cruise booking process it calls complex — for advisors and their clients alike. The 3D viewer converts traditional ship deck plans into three-dimensional representations that users can explore, letting them walk ship layouts virtually, view individual staterooms, and compare cabin categories across cruise line offerings. That is a conversion play: buyers who can visualize where a cabin sits relative to amenities are less likely to hesitate or churn post-booking.

What does Revy AI actually do?

Revy AI is the more ambitious of the two launches. It works inside Revelex's PowerAgent 5 platform alongside travel advisors and other travel professionals, and it supports both business-to-consumer (B2C) and business-to-business (B2B) experiences — meaning the same assistant can serve an agency's internal workflow and its consumer-facing storefront.

According to the company, its capabilities include:

  • Users describe preferences such as destination, departure date and budget to identify relevant sailings, then refine results by price, dates and cruise line
  • The assistant helps users navigate cruise categories, subcategories, rate codes (the fare-level codes that determine what a booked fare includes) and other booking requirements
  • It incorporates real-time information, including business rules, operational practices, payment procedures, company information, business needs and target customer profiles
  • It supports Revelex's B2B booking environment while extending AI-powered assistance into the consumer-facing experience

In plain terms: Revelex wants one AI layer that speaks both agency policy and shopper preference.

Who is saying what

"As we celebrate our 27th anniversary this month, we're reminded that longevity in travel technology comes from continually finding better ways to serve an industry that never stands still," said David Goodis, founder, chairman, president and CEO of Revelex.

"At Revelex, we've always believed that technology should make selling travel and planning vacations simpler," Goodis added. "The launch of these two new products is yet another step toward that goal, and we are excited about their potential to revolutionize the cruise booking experience."

"We developed Revy AI to make cruise booking more intuitive by bringing smarter, more personalized assistance into the booking process," said Marco Gomez Van Houten, director of digital experience at Revelex.

How big is the roadmap?

Ocean cruising is only the starting point. Revelex says river cruising is next in line for Revy AI, and future development is expected to extend the assistant to hotels and additional travel products, including guided vacations, air travel and vacation packages.

That roadmap matters for sellers of travel: if the assistant performs, Revelex effectively moves from cruise-specialist tooling toward a broader selling platform. Worth noting, though — the company has released no adoption figures, booking-conversion data or client counts alongside the announcement. Everything here is a product pitch, not measured results, and the claims sit in a press release rather than filings.

The open question is whether advisors adopt an AI layer inside PowerAgent 5 or treat it as another feature to switch off. Revelex, 27 years in, is betting the answer changes how cruise — and eventually broader travel — gets sold.
